Kaisa Kerätär is a Finnish biologist specializing in freshwater ecology and environmental impact assessment. She also works in the creative sector as a producer and art manager. Her motivation is to promote the northern way of life and culture as well as visual artists living in Northern Finland. She is a member of an interdisciplinary network LandBodyEcologies (LBE), which is seeking to understand lived experiences of land trauma among marginalized communities. LBE team are the winners of the Wellcome Trust Hub Award in 2021.
